Two in five cable homes in Hungary now receive their broadband services via DOCSIS 3.0.
Data published by the regulator NMHH shows that as of the end of October there were 936,828 cable broadband subscriptions, of which 396,867 were via DOCSIS 3.0.
The number of broadband subscriptions via FTTx meanwhile stood at 350,724 and the xDSL subscription total was 774,472.
Magyar Telekom was the leading provider of fixed broadband, its market share of 35.6% being higher than the combined totals of second placed UPC (21.8%) and Digi (13.8%).
They were followed by Invitel (9.7%), Tarr (2.6%), PR-Telekom (2.2%), ViDaNet (1.9%), GTS-Hungary (0.8%), Parisat (0.5%) and others (11.2%).
