Sky has launched a new wireless booster designed to increase the range of Wi-Fi within the home. The device, manufactured by AirTies part of Sky’s ongoing campaign to drive take-up of its multiscreen services.
It will work with the Sky Hub router and other ‘N’ routers.
“The idea is to get technology to talk in a consistent way. We would basically like to collaborate so all devices are talking to each other consistently,” Philippe Alcaras, CEO, AirTies told Broadband TV News.
AirTies already supplies Sky with an extender product to enable earlier Sky+ HD receivers to be connected to the internet for on demand content.
