Poland’s second largest cable operator Multimedia Polska ended September with over 1 million TV RGUs.
Of these, 309,000 received digital cable or IPTV services – a 20% increase on a year earlier.
The TV RGU total was meanwhile up by 23,000, thanks to both acquisitions and acquiring new customers on both existing and new build networks Multimedia Polska’s TV revenues in the first nine months of the year amounted to PLN260.1 million (€62 million), up 5% on a year.
Growth was particularly pronounced in the digital TV segment, the PLN97.3 million posted in revenues being 30% more than a year earlier.
Analogue TV revenues, on the other hand, fell by 6% over the same period.
Multimedia Polska had revenues from sales of PLN523.7 million in the first nine months of the year, or 3% more than in 2012.
It consolidated EBITDA was PLN266.1 million (+3%), while net profit fell by 38% to PLN22.8 million.
The company invested a total of PLN153.9 million, of which PLN143.6 million went towards building and modernising its network.
Separately, Multimedia Polska has introduced a new fixed line telephone offer.
Consisting of eight tariffs, it is, according to the company, the most comprehensive on the market.
