Revenues from pay-TV in Germany in 2012 were €1.84 billion, according to the VPRT.
The Association of Commercial Broadcasters and Audiovisual Services (VPRT) expects an increase in revenue for pay-TV of about 11.5% for 2013.
The association has released its market forecast for this year’s radio and TV in Germany prior to the Munich Media Days .
For the full year 2013, the industry association expects positive developments in all market segments. For radio advertising VPRT predicts sales growth of about 2.2% over the previous year, a growth of approximately 1.1% for television advertising is expected.
In the area of online advertising the expected growth is about 8%, with particularly high growth in the areas of mobile advertising (60%) and online/mobile , audio and video advertising (double-digit growth ) .
Teleshopping is expected to increase by about 3.9% abd the combined pay-TV and paid-for on-demand is expected to grow 11.5%.
