M6 considers its options

Paris Première wants to remain a paid for service but could become free if operators reduce their funding.

Quoted in Le Figaro, Jérôme Bureau, president of the M6 subsidiary, added that paradoxically the launch of competing services has benefited the channel as they have become standardised.

Paris Première, on the other hand, continues to focus on originality. According to Mediametrie, Paris Première is currently the third most popular thematic channel in France, with an audience share of 0.6%.
