US multiscreen video logistics solutions provider has opened a new European headquarters in Amsterdam, alongside two data centres in Amsterdam and Frankfurt, which are feeding the company’s unnamed first European customers.
Formed five years ago, Clearleap has also announced its participation in IBC 2013, where it will be sited in the Connected World area (Stand No. 14.270).
CEO Braxton Jarratt was part of the early VOD software provider M2 Broadband, which was subsequently sold to the then Tandberg Television, itself later acquired by Ericsson.
Jarrett told Broadband TV News there was a need for a consistent offering across TV, VOD, PC and tablets particularly between competing devices. “You’ll want to consistently add features and if you don’t do it at the same time you’ll get complaints.”
Jarratt said that while the majority of US companies had already launched their services there was a need to move on to 2.0.
