The Polish cable operator Inea will launch the country’s first TV channel dedicated to a football club within the next three months.
Known as Lech TV, it will promote Lech Poznan and have a format similar to that used by such channels in Western Europe.
On air for at least 14 hours daily, with 1-2 hours of new programming each day, Lech TV will not be distributed over the internet but as a digital channel in Inea’s standard package, which is currently received by around 100,000 subscribers in the Wielkopolska region of Poland.
Alongside Lech TV, Inea has become Lech Poznan’s ‘premium’ sponsor for the next five-years, with the possibility of extending this period for several more years.
