A+E Networks UK has announced that the female-oriented channel Lifetime will make its European debut in the UK this autumn.
It will join a portfolio of A+E channels in the UK that includes History, Crime & Investigation and the recently launched H2.
Commenting on the launch, Tom Davidson, MD of A+E Networks UK, said:
“Lifetime has already proved to be a huge success in the US by offering audiences stand out entertaining, engaging and thoughtful programming. I am thrilled that the UK will be the first country in Europe to launch this popular channel, bringing viewers big-name Hollywood talent, both on and off-screen, as well as supporting the UK indie sector with original UK commissions.”

Lifetime already reaches over 170 million homes in the US and Canada. It has also recently launched in South East Asia.
