Using a white label solution in the Central and East European DTH market can reduce the breakeven figure for operators from around 200,000 to 50,000-70,000 subscribers, according to Neven Dilkov, MD, Neterra.
He added that of nine major DTH operations in the CEE region, five are below or close to the 200,000 figure.
Neterra has partnered up with Telenor to launch a new white label platform in Bulgaria and its potential clients will include GSM operators, content owners, cable TV networks and others.
Dilkov added that its first customer was a regional TV cable operator. He also spoke of the strong advantages of using a white label solution.
The business model is cash flow positive from day one and Neterra is asking customers to pay for the number of subscribers they have actually sold the service to.
