Consumer behaviour is changing as more Polish viewers turn to on demand content and the second screen, says Tomasz Zuranski, CEO, Vectra.
Speaking at the Arris Video Leadership Forum in Berlin, Zuranski said global players were missing from the market, meaning that OTT in Poland is mostly based on local content with Polish TV series from the national broadcasters being the most popular.
73 per cent of Polish viewers use a second screen, which ?ura?ski said indicated a change ib behaviour.
The cablenets own online TV portal has seen visits climb from 49,000 in May 2012 to 120,000 a 12 months later. 1.2 million visits per year have been made in the cause of a year.
Vectra currently provides 25 live channels, HBO Go, a music on demand service and 44 HD channels. It is planned to increase the amount of content later in the year.
In a customer survey, more content on demand came top of customer requests, along with an expectation of a flat fee subscription and a unified user interface across platforms.
