Serbian cable operators appear to be much more prepared for the transition to digital broadcasting than the country’s TV industry as a whole.
Quoting the regulator RATEL, Kamatica reports that almost all major operators now have digital TV in their offer, with subscription fees typically in the region of RSD850-3,000 (€7.4-26) a month.
On the other hand, the selection of DTT receivers available is still quite small, with DVB-T2 ones typically retailing for €90-160.
Serbia currently expects to complete the transition to digital broadcasting on June 17, 2015.
