The latest stage of Poland’s transition to digital broadcasting will take place on June 17, with analogue transmitters serving 12 cities in the east and south of the country being switched off.
Viewers in Poland can currently receive up to 22 digital terrestrial TV channels distributed by three multiplexes.
The first of these (MUX-1) carries a mix of TVP and new commercial channels, while the second (MUX-2) is allocated solely to commercial stations.
The third (MUX-3) is reserved solely for TVP and already carries seven of its channels. Poland will complete the transition to digital broadcasting next month.
