SES has signed a multi-year agreement with Telekom Srbija for capacity on Astra 3B at 23.5 degrees East.
The Serbian telco is currently using capacity at 19.2 degrees East to distribute the public channels RTS Sat and Radio Belgrade in Serbia.
However, with the new agreement it will be able to utilise additional capacity 23.5 degrees East to feed TV, radio and data services.
Commenting on the agreement, Martin Ornass-Kubacki, VP and Chief regional officer of Central Eastern Europe at SES, said: “The latest agreement with Telekom Srbija reaffirms SES’ prime orbital positions, professional team and excellent service are much valued in the market by Telekom Srbija.
“It also marks an important milestone as we continue to provide capacity to Telekom Srbija from a new orbital position also for non-DTH services. We are pleased to support this growing partnership and will continue to offer best-in-class services to allow Telekom Srbija to grow their business.”
