The Danish cable operator Stofa has signed a multi-year service and maintenance contract with SeaChange International for its SeaChange Adrenalin VOD services.
Stofa is a triple play company serving around 400,000 households and has been a customer of SeaChange since 2007.
In addition to VOD, its Adrenalin supported television services include time-shift TV, a 48-hour catch-up TV service, Web-TV and Web-TV-2-GO, Digital Video Broadcasting-C/IP set-top and personal video recorder services.
To support this broad range of TV services, Stofa also uses SeaChange’s CASIS and STAGSIS system information/progarmme specific information solution.
Commenting on the agreement, Thomsa Helbo, CTO Stofa, said: “With 400,000 subscribers, we need to know that our VOD service is stable and reliable and that we can resolve issues without visible impact on subscribers’ enjoyment.
“SeaChange has been delivering high quality technology and services to us since 2007 and we are very happy to extend our partnership with them again.”
Andrei Noppe, general manager, SeaChange EMEA and APAC, added: “We are delighted to continue our strong relationship with Stofa in yet another demonstration of our focus on this region, with customers from Denmark to Estonia.
“Throughout Europe, customers come to SeaChange for our deep experience and expertise in on-demand service development. Today, SeaChange’s customers across Europe serve an estimated 36 million subscribers on televisions, PCs, tablets and mobile phones – and this number is growing. Our open and flexible platform provides a fast way to market, with a cost-efficient path to future growth in subscribers, services and device platforms.”
