Dutch interactive TV and app developer Stoneroos has released the Telfort companion TV app.
The move is part of the complete rebranding of the FTTH providers Dutch incumbent KPN acquired last year. Last year, the operator acquired FTTH service providers KickXL, Lijbrandt, XMS and Concepts ICT and is now in the process of bringing them together under the Telfort brand.
Telfort FTTH customers can download the Telfort Glasvezel TV app in Android or iOs versions. The app allows users to watch streaming live TV, see the EPG, manage the PVR remotely, set reminders, search for programmes and also acts as a remote control.
The app also features TV listings provided by Stoneroos subsidiary EPGData, which include in-app unlocking of second screen applications for TV programmes. The metadata includes social media links for Facebook and Twitter, links to relevant websites and deep links to IMDB and YouTube.
