UPC Polska has completed the sale of part of Aster’s infrastructure to the alternative carrier Netia.
Aster was Poland’s fourth largest operator until the market leader UPC Polska acquired it in September 2011.
However, this was nine months after the deal was originally announced and followed an investigation by the competition authority UOKiK.
It eventually gave its blessing on the condition that UPC Polska sold on some of Aster’s assets, in Warsaw and Kraków, to a third independent party.
UPC Polska’s agreement with Netia was finalised on May 10.
