Russian president Vladimir Putin has signed a decree effectively changing the composition of the country’s first DTT multiplex.
This will now no longer carry regional channels and be entirely federal, with the 10th slot being allocated to TV Center.
As a result of the change, the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network (RTRS) will now find itself in control of the country’s first, second and third multiplexes.
The third multiplex will also be open to cable and satellite channels and include a regional channel produced by the state broadcaster VGTRK (RTR).
