Spain ended 2012 with 4 million fixed-line pay-TV subscribers, an 8% reduction on a year earlier.
Data published by the regulator CMT shows that although the country’s fixed-line broadband subscriber total grew by 3.3% over the same period, the number of customers receiving triple-play services via fixed lines fell by 14.9% to 1.6 million.
The communications sector as a whole had revenues of €7,177.27 million in Q4, or 8.8% less than in the same period in 2011.
Revenues for fixed line and audiovisual services were 6.9% and 8% down on a year earlier.
