Mobile World TV goes live in Barcelona

Mobile World Live TV will broadcast live from Mobile World Congress from February 25 till 28.

The channel is available via a dedicated channel across Catalonia, reaching 150 attendee hotels and 20,000 bedrooms.

Mobile World Live TV will also be available to more than 70,000 event attendees throughout the venue via numerous monitors strategically located within the Fira Gran Via.

In addition, the channel will be streamed live to a selection of apps and to the Mobile World Live website.

Mobile World Live TV features special keynote presentations, interviews with senior executives and industry leaders, news and discussions. The service runs around the clock throughout the duration of Mobile World Congress.

This is the third year that Yospace has provided the streaming technology. The live video feed is encoded by Yospace into formats suitable for iOS, Android and Windows Mobile devices.

“In an event as busy as Mobile World Congress, it is important that both attendees and global viewers are able to catch up on the news wherever they are through the delivery of high-quality video streaming,” said Trevor Skinner, digital director, GSMA, the organisation that delivers Mobile World Congress.

David Springall, technical director of Yospace, added “We are delighted to be collaborating with the GSMA on Mobile World Live TV again this year, and bringing the informative content to the wide mobile audience.”
