Microsoft is working on producing original TV programming for the company’s Xbox Live service.
According to US press reports, a top executive broke the news to delegates at All Things Digital’s Dive into Media conference in Dana Point, California.
Entertainment and digital media President Nancy Tellem, who previously worked for CBS, said she is working on ways to make shows more interactive by tapping into technology like Kinect.
Tellem launched the Xbox Entertainment Studio in Santa Monica and is leading a team to develop interactive and linear content for the computer games console.
In a seemingly related move, Microsoft is also hiring former Channel 5 executive Kate Barnes.
