CET 21, the operator of the Czech national commercial station TV Nova, has been awarded a licence for a new channel by the country’s Radio and TV Council (RRTV).
According to local reports, the channel will be named Telka and l make its debut on Friday, February 22.
TV Nova, which is backed by CME, has a growing portfolio of channels that include Nova Cinema, the Czech/Sloval version of MTV and recently launched Smichov.
FTV Prima, its main commercial competitor, added the documentary channel Prima Zoom to its own portfolio at the beginning of this month.
