Hannover-based home shopping Channel 21 has pulled the plug out of its Gems TV subsidiary due to insufficient turnover.
The channel was a joint venture with UK-based The Genuine Gemstone Company (TGGC) and started broadcasting only three months ago, in October 2012.
A spokesperson for Channel 21 said that some of the products will now be sold on the main home shopping channel and that the new business model ‘Media 4 revenue’ introduced on Gems TV would also be introduced on Channel 21.
Although the channels has now stopped broadcasting, all outstanding orders will be fulfilled.
