Gerry O’Sullivan, Deutsche Telekom’s SVP global TV and entertainment, is to leave the company for family reasons.
O’Sullivan is to stay with the company for the next year as an advisor. He had been commuting from his home in London.
For the past two years O’Sullivan has managed the development of Telekom’s IPTV service in ten European countries, including Germany itself.
This included the development of hybrid IPTV/satellite pay-TV platforms and multi-device offers that now reach close to five million subscribers. He also brokered a deal with Spotify for music streaming services in Germany.
Prior to Telekom, O’Sullivan spent ten years with BSkyB, where he was responsible for launching Sky+ HD and pioneering 3DTV in the UK market.
