Jonathan Marks: Musical Chairs at IBC 2012

IBC 2012 PREVIEW. Just been playing with the Interactive Floor Plan for the IBC Exhibition kicking off on Friday of this week. I find the interactive map rather clumsy – and I hate having to register. But it saves a lot of time knowing roughly where people are – IBC is a gigantic exhibition.

I notice a lot of changes this year – people that have been in Hall 2 for years, for instance, now tucked away in Hall 7. And new names popping up as some rather familiar ones either downsize or disappear. So half an hour preparing will save a lot of time later. It will certainly be a different IBC this year. Curious. Will explore Hall 14 more this year.

About Jonathan Marks

Audiences are at the heart of everything I do. I have a life-long passion for explaining things. So I lead a private guild of digital storytellers. Together we specialize in building media strategies for companies who are serious about building authentic conversations in society. I manoeuvre around the intersection between new and traditional disciplines. I consult to large media companies, but also coach and mentor start-ups on how to get their idea into the right context. I have proven experience integrating ideas into what (we currently call) social media platforms. So what do others say I do well? - Strategic Thinking - Flushing out old ideas and replacing them with practical alternatives. I also translate theory into practice. All enquiries treated in total confidence.
