Germany’s largest cable network saw a 7.7% increase in revenues to €444 million during the first quarter of the year, driven by continued demand for internet and telephony services.
A total number of 102,000 new products (RGUs) were taken on over the quarter, helping the average number of services taken per subscriber to 1.60.
There are now 1.7 million internet and phone subscribers for KDG, which is also seeing continued demand for premium TV subscriptions. Another 102,000 such subscriptions were added on the quarter.
1,782,000 premium TV subscribers include 596,000 DVR homes.
The Company posted a net profit of €66 million.
KDG confirmed it intends to post a request with the competition authorities for the approval of its €618 million acquisition of Tele Columbus.
It is expected the process will take about four months.
