Russia’s CTC Media has confirmed that it plans to change the target demographic for its channels CTC and Peretz at the beginning of next year.
In a statement contained its latest set of results, the broadcaster, which lists MTG as its largest shareholder, says that the national CTC service will serve viewers aged 10-45 and Peretz those in the 25-49 group.
The female-skewed Domashny will meanwhile remain unchanged, targeting viewers aged 25-59.
CTC Media had total operating revenues of $187,584,000 (€151,380,000) in the second quarter, down 8% on a year earlier.
OIBDA fell by 18% year-on-year to $54,105,000 and the company’s net income was also down, by 11% to $34,046,000.
