IBC innovation from Red Bee Media

IBC 2012 – PREVIEW: Stand No. 1.B26. Red Bee Media is showing a series of innovations that demonstrate the flexibility of multiscreen deployments.

Included is the ‘Swipe and Flick’ capability of the Red Player that allows viewers to flick content from an iPad to a connected TV. Red Bee’s online player also allows viewers to select their own start and end points from a clip and then share with friends.

Red Bee Media’s Guillermo Christen, head of product development – content discovery, will be presenting his paper ‘Science meets art: The next generation of user interfaces’ as part of the conference’s technology stream.

The paper explores the need to combine scientific, algorithm-based processes with a deep understanding of content and audiences to deliver intuitive and user-friendly content discovery services.

Red Bee Media will also be unveiling the final report from its Tomorrow Calling programme at IBC. The report aims to build a picture of the media world in 2020, its technological possibilities and market dynamics.
