ESPN has secured a raft of top European football rights for the UK and Ireland.
Aside from the acquisition on French Ligue 1 rights, they include renewals covering Italian Serie A, Eredivisie and the Russian Premier League and include all multimedia rights across TV and digital media.
Only earlier this week ESPN announced a new three-year extension to its coverage of Germany’s Bundesliga.
