New TV Puls channel launches

The Polish national commercial station TV Puls has launched its long-awaited second channel.

Known as TV Puls 2, it is available to terrestrial viewers nationally and free of charge, having been allocated a slot on the country’s second DTT multiplex (MUX 2).

On air for 12 hours daily, it was originally expected to be a kids channel but now targets women and young families with a mix of general entertainment programming.

Significantly, TV Puls 2 can be received by around one million Cyfra+ and TP (Orange) DTH subscribers who have DTT reception equipment.

It will also be made available to subscribers of Toya, one of the country’s largest cable operators, and a growing number of smaller cable companies, from August 1.
