TivùSat gains half million cards

New card activations for TivùSat peaked at some 3,000 cards per day in the run up to digital switch off in Italy.

The free-to-air platform, backed by Rai, Mediaset, TI Media, FRT and Aeranti-Corallo, added an additional 500,000 subscriptions to reach 1,524,285 by July 3.

The organization said the run rate was much higher than expected.
