The Hungarian DTH platform UPC Direct has entered into a marketing partnership with Samsung.
Under it, every Samsung Smart TV bought in shops of the Euronics network will be available for a special UPC Direct offer to both new clients and those who already subscribe to the platform.
The offer is available from the middle of this month and as long as stocks last.
New subscribers to Direct Medium, Direct+ basic packs will receive a Direct PVR, a Direct HD pack with nine HD channels, a FilmBox Pak movie pack, as well as a Direct Active adult pack for free for three months.
Those who have already subscribe to Direct Medium, Direct+, or SuperPak can choose one from the following: Direct HD pack, FilmBox Pak movie pack or the Direct Active adult pack for free for three months. Existing Direct Light subscribers may watch Direct Medium channels without additional fee for one month, while Direct Medium subscribers can enjoy Direct+ channels without additional fee for one month.
Zoltan Pinkola, marketing and sales director for Hungary at UPC DTH, said in a statement, “this is a great opportunity to discover the value of the programming provided by UPC Direct with a new Smart TV from Samsung.”
UPC Direct is operated by Luxembourg-based UPC DTH and has sister services in Romania (Focus Sat) and the Czech Republic and Slovakia (freeSAT).
Together, they had over 640,000 subscribers as of the end of Q1 this year.
