UPC Romania targets kids

UPC Romania has introduced a remote control aimed specifically at children.

ZF reports that the device, know as Teki, has buttons for the kids channels Minimax, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Duck TV, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Jim Jam and DaVinci Learning, as well as for a games portal.

However, it also allows adults to watch any channel offered by the operator and has DVR functionality.

Teki is being offered free of charge to all existing customers of double or triple play packages and for RON13 (€2.9) or RON26 including VAT if it includes DVR or DVR HD functionality respectively.

Furthermore, it can be purchased for a one-off price of RON50, including VAT.
