Modern Times Group (MTG) has completed the acquisition of the Latvian free-to-air (FTA) station LNT for an undisclosed fee, having obtained permission to do so from the Latvian Competition Council.
MTG is already present in Latvia through TV3, 3+ and TV6, while LNT was until now the country’s second largest broadcaster through the national channel LNT, Russian language channel TV5 and entertainment channel Kanals 2.
LNT’s results will from now on be reported as part of the MTG’s Baltic free-TV operations.
