CONNECTED TV IN POLAND – WARSAW. Netflix could come to Poland in the next year or two, according to Albert Szybinski, product management director, ipla.
Speaking at today’s conference entitled Connected TV in Poland and organised jointly by Broadband TV News and Level 3, he added that although the service would probably launch first in Germany and France, it was familiar with ipla and its activities.
Commenting on HbbTV, Szybinski said that its potential in Poland is only likely to start being realised in the next two to three years, with smart TV apps being currently the way to go.
He also said that there was a need for ISPs to upgrade the last mile for the end user.
