Bouygues Telecom acquires Dartybox

French telecoms operator Bouygues Telecom has announced it is acquiring Darty Telecom with almost 340,000 customers.

The acquisition includes the IPTV and broadband service Dartybox and mobile MVNO Darty Mobile. Under the new deal, Bouygues will sell its products under its own name in the 226 Darty shops across the country.

The triple play Dartybox will be replaced by Bouygues’s own Bbox Sensation STB.

According to Kesa Electricals, the owners of Darty, the deal is worth around €40 million.
