New TiVo subs of 242,000 helped Virgin Media achieve £1 billion (€1.22 billion) in revenue during the first quarter of the year.
The advanced hybrid PVR is now in 677,100 of the cablenet’s households, representing some 18% of the customer base. In all Virgin saw a 50,600 increase in its paid for TV base.
Broadband also continues to deliver with half of new subscribers taking services of 30 Mbps or more. Additions of 146,700 mean that the 850,000 on superfast broadband are triple that of one year ago.
This includes 250,000 that are on speeds of 50, 60 and 100 Mbps.
