Strong wins Ukrainian DTT contest

Strong has been selected by the Ukrainian State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting to supply DTT receivers to needy sections of the country’s population.

According to Interfax, the company offered to do so for UAH486.80 (€45.6) per receiver, while Romsat, the other shortlisted bidder, suggested a figure of UAH487.

Although Strong’s receivers are currently manufactured in China, it is considering the possibility of assembling them in Ukraine.

The total cost of the subsidised receivers will amount to UAH333.458 million.
