Mark Loughran has become the latest casualty of Pace’s managerial revolving door after the set-top box developer brought in Shane McCarthy to head its international business unit.
Loughran had only been in charge of the former Pace Europe (the set-top box business that had been acquired from Philips) since May 2011. The former Nokia UK boss had been brought in to head the Enterprise division the previous October.
Pace CEO, Mike Pulli, said in a statement, “Shane has been with the Company for over seven years in a variety of engineering and commercial roles, most recently as senior vice president and general manager of the combined Nagra and NDS businesses. His appointment as President reflects his track record of excellence and guarantees a stable, seamless transition that will benefit Pace’s customers and support the company’s continued growth in these extremely important global territories.”
McCarthy, who has worked at Pace for seven years, had been general manager of EMEA and Asia Pacific. He previously worked for a number of companies including NDS and Transitive Technologies.
