Steady progress for new Polish DTT player

Poland’s leading TV and film production company ATM Grupa, which is also a player in its embryonic DTT marketplace, has posted revenues of PLN115.34 million (€27.94 million) for 2011, or PLN1 million more than a year earlier.

Its EBITDA amounted to PLN21.1 million and consolidated net profit PLN2.1 million.

ATM Grupa secured a licence from the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) in 2011 to operate a channel on the country’s first DTT multiplex and last month launched the entertainment-based service ATM Rozrywka TV.

According to the company, it should have a full programme schedule by the end of May, ahead of the Euro 2012 championships.

Besides supplying content to such leading Polish broadcasters as TVP, Polsat and TV4, ATM Grupa has a growing list of foreign clients that includes Ukraine’s 1+1.
