Poland’s telecom market is likely to grow by up to 10% in the next one to two years, according to Magdalena Gaj, the new president of the Office of Electronic Communication (UKE).
Speaking to Parkiet, she added that the growth would be largely due to new services, including internet, mobile and even digital terrestrially-delivered TV offers.
She added that if there are any plans to break up the incumbent telco TPSA they would take 2-3 years to implement.
Growth in the Polish telecom market has slowed and amounted to only 0.9% last year, taking its value to PLN40.2 billion (€9.57 billion).
