The Franco-German cultural channel Arte has launched a live streaming service for internet users in France and Germany.
Arte already has its catch-up portal Arte +7 available which can be accessed from many countries. The live streaming service, however, is limited to viewers in France and Germany only.
The channel has also been available as a live stream on the Zattoo portal, which is available in a number of countries.
This Arte stream is also available on iPhone and iPad applications of Arte.
“Our goal is to build as many bridges as possible between television and the internet, to reach the greatest number of people interested in culture, regardless of where they are,” said Veronique Cayla, the new president of Arte.
