The Russian commercial broadcaster CTC Media has announced major changes to its management.
Ziggo adds iPhone and iPod to TV app
Dutch cable operator Ziggo has activated its TV app for the iPhone and iPod Touch, enabling subscribers to watch live streams of the main 10 Dutch TV channels. The functionality is already available for iPads.

The national transmission company Towercom has been awarded a licence to operate what will be Slovakia’s fourth DTT multiplex.
Canal + withdraws from Spanish premium DTT

Cable gains, DTH loses in Romania
Romania had 5.70 million pay-TV subscribers as of June 30 this year, or 0.6% fewer than six months earlier, according to data published by the regulator ANCOM.

The report states that this translates to 20% of global TV sets by 2016, up from only 6% at end-2010.
