The Lithuanian incumbent telco TEO LT ended the first half of the year with 142,500 users of its Gala-branded IPTV and DTT services, or almost 24.9% more than a year earlier.
The number of broadband internet – excluding wireless WiFi – users meanwhile rose by 7.7% to 325,600 over the same period.
TEO LT’s revenues in H1 amounted to LTL369. 8 million (€107 million), with TV services claiming 6.1% of the total, down from LTL387 million in the corresponding period in 2010.
Its net profit stood at LTL76.6 million (LTL83.6 million) and EBITDA at LTL151 million (LTL159.6 million).
According to data produced by the country’s Communications Regulatory Authority, TEO LT’s share of the digital TV revenues in Q1 (not H1) amounted to 43.6%.
TEO LT allocated LTL63 million for investments in H1 this year, with the majority going to core and next generation fibre optic access networks.
