Analogue TV reception is rapidly coming to an end in the Czech Republic, with only 5.5% of homes watching services at the end of the first quarter.
This, according to data published by Mediaresearch, compared to over half (27.4%) of homes in the corresponding period last year.
The number of homes watching only analogue TV also fell sharply over the same period, from 17% to 5.5%. At the same time, the number of homes receiving DTT services rose from 39.3% to 51.7%.
Significantly, DTH reception grew in the 12 months to March 31, up from 24% to 29%, while cable and IPTV fell slightly, from 24.6% to 24.3%.
