Disney Junior is set for a September launch in Holland and Flanders, the Dutch speaking part of Belgium. The new brand will replace the Playhouse Disney branded block on Disney Channel, as well as become a new, stand-alone channel.
In The Netherlands, Disney Junior will be available on the UPC network, as a branded block on analogue and digital and as a stand alone channel on UPC’s Kidszone digital tier.
In Belgium, Disney Junior will be available on the Telenet cable network and on Belgacom’s IPTV platform.
Disney Junior is aimed at 2 to 7 year olds and broadcasts series such as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny and Special Agent Oso, as well as many other cartoon series. The branded block on Disney channel will start on September 1, followed by the full channel launch on September 10.
