Universal Networks International has announced 13th Street Universal and Syfy Universal will be available on the KPN Interactieve TV IPTV platform from June 1, 2011. 13th Street Universal will also become available as a ‘bonus channel’ on KPN’s DTT platform Digitenne.
MIP 2012 to start April 1
Reed Midem has announced new days for MIPTV 2012. Originally scheduled to begin on Saturday, March 31, the event will now start on Sunday, April 1.
Musselman joins TeleColumbus board
Gene Musselman, Gerhard Bickmann and Rezaah Ahmad are to join the board of the German Tele Columbus Group. Musselman will be chairman of the new board.
Half million connected to Swisscom TV
500,000 customers are now connected to the IPTV platform Swisscom TV. The operation went live in November 2006 under the Bluewin brand. 200,000 customers use the mobile TV service.

Leighton pledges Pace turnaround
Former Royal Mail chairman Allan Leighton has been appointed as the new chairman of Pace. He will replace Mike McTighe who is stepping down after ten years as a non-executive director, five as chairman.
9Live ends call TV programming
The German private 9Live channel, part of ProSiebenSat.1, will end its controversial game call TV programming today (Tuesday, May 31). The new programming format will consist of Astro TV during daytime and repeats of German and US TV series during prime time.

HD channels available to Sky-D customers
Sky Deutchland subscribers will be able to see Astra’s HD+ bouquet of private broadcasters’ channels – RTL HD, Vox HD, RTL 2 HD, Sat.1 HD, ProSieben HD, Kabel eins HD, Sixx HD and Sport1 HD – from tomorrow (June 1).
OTE rules out Romtelecom acquisition
Greece’s OTE has said it is unwilling to acquire the 46% of shares in the Romanian incumbent telco Romtelecom it does not already own.
