Access Co Ltd has announced plans to show technologies including the HbbTV version of its NetFront Browser and the NetFront Living Connect 2.0 DLNA technology component at ANGA Cable 2011 (May 2 – 5). The company will co-operate with its partners CreNova, Fortis, Logiways, S&T and Vestel.
Already the NetFront technology series has found its way into over one billion devices globally, while the NetFront Browser DTV Profile HbbTV Edition is the most widely deployed HbbTV browser in the market today.
“HbbTV has seen rapid adoption in the last year, and we’re expecting the trend to continue throughout 2011 because the standard enables CE device manufacturers to provide rich broadcast and Internet services with minimum requirements,” said Dr Neale Foster, VP of global sales IA, Access “Our HbbTV browser gives OEMs, service providers and middleware companies advanced, fully-proven technologies providing them with a quick and easy route to market. We’re delighted that so many of our partners will be demonstrating the benefits of our HbbTV solution and our market leadership by showing their Access-powered HbbTV ready devices at this year’s ANGA Cable.”
The company says it is currently the only provider of fully deployed HbbTV and DLNA Technology Component software solutions.
