DTT coverage in Poland will be significantly increased later this month.
According to the national transmission company Emitel, transmitters deployed in five locations will increase to reach of the second multiplex to 46% of the population by the end of the month.
Transmitters deployed in four other locations will meanwhile increase the reach of the third multiplex to 24% of the population by April 27.
As a result, a further 2 million people will be able to receive DTT services.
The second multiplex currently distributes Polsat, TVN, TVN7, TV4 and TV Puls and will eventually also carry Polsat Sport News, TV6 and TV Puls 2.
The third multiplex distributes TVP1, TVP2 and TVP Info (with local versions), along with TVP Kultura and TVP Historia.
The second multiplex should reach 97% of the population by July 31 and the third 45% by October 27.
