The Hungarian company HomeSys Media has signed a letter of intent with Jersey Telecom Limited.
According to BBJ, it will result in the former’s hybrid television technology and HybridBox hybrid set-top boxes being tested on Jersey Telecom’s network up until the end of August.
The two companies plan to discuss the introduction of Hybridbox and the content of hybrid services by the end of the trial period.
HomeSys Media is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hybridbox, which presented a solution for bringing the TV and internet together as far back as 2003.
Jersey Telecom is wholly owned by The States of Jersey and has around 100,000 subscribers.
