The Lithuanian incumbent telco TEO LT ended the first quarter with 138,500 subscribers to its Gala-branded IPTV and DTT services, or almost 28% more than a year earlier.
Its broadband subscriber total meanwhile rose by 10.5% over the same period to 352,700.
TEO LT’s revenues in Q1 amounted to LTL185.8 million (€53.7 million), down from LTL192 million in the corresponding period in 2010.
Its net profit of LTL37.7 million was also lower than last year’s LTL43 million, as was the EBITDA of LTL73.9 million, compared to LTL81.4 million.
During the first quarter the company allocated LTL14.6 million for investments, with the majority – LTL13.6 million – going to the expansion of core and fibre-optic access networks.
